Bake Off's Sandro serves up steamy thirst traps and fans are getting the cream horn

The Great British Bake Off is an incredibly wholesome show which showcases the best home bakers the country has to offer.

It's also often a chance for viewers to embrace the thirst, which many have done this year over contestant Sandro.

Nelsandro "Sandro" Farmhouse is a nanny from London. In his 'Meet the Bakers' interview, he said that he is passionate about dancing - anything from breakdance to ballet - and he likes to infuse his bakes with flavours from his Angolan heritage.

Since Sandro entered the tent, viewers have had lots to say, including one person tweeting that they "can't wait for Bred Week". And no, that's not a misspelling.

Fortunately for fans, Sandro isn't afraid of serving up a thirst trap or two online.

Predictably, the ' soggy bottom ' joke has been made a few times, but in all honesty, the lack of originality can be excused due to the size of Sandro's guns.

And, as if that wasn't enough, he is also evidently an absolute angel, raising awareness for neurodiverse and autistic children through his baking. He is working with an organisation called 'Baking on the Spectrum'.

Sandro hasn't spoken about his sexuality, but Bake Off has had a whole host of iconic queer bakers over the years, including John Whaite, who won the crown in 2013 and was also half of the first ever same-sex male pairing on Strictly last year.

Others include Chuen-Yan 'Yan' Tsou, the lesbian icon who served the most phallic-shaped offering of molten puddings we've ever seen, and Michael Chakraverty and David Atherton , whose podcast "Stick Bun Boys", celebrates baking and queerness as the beautiful combination of flavours that it is.
