Fans shocked as Latvia's iconic Eat Your Salad is 'robbed' of Eurovision finals spot: 'I am fuming'
Fans have declared that Latvia's Eurovision entry "Eat Your Salad", about climate change, veganism and p***y, was "robbed" of a finals spot.
The first semi-final of Eurovision 2022 took place on Tuesday (11 May) in Turin, Italy, with 17 countries fighting for 10 spots in the finale on Saturday (14 May).
Latvia's Citi Zēni, a "six-piece musical act from Eastern Europe, trading in alternative unicorn pop" were second on stage, performing their now famous song “Eat Your Salad”.
The song opens with the incredible lyrics: "Instead of meat I eat veggies and p***y / I like them both fresh, like them both juicy."
The song revolves around eco-friendly living, with lyrics like: “Bend over, then jiggle that peach / You’re recycling while I’m loving those cheeks.”
Aired on the BBC in the UK, presenter Rylan Clark was forced to apologise to viewers for the "strong language".
But it didn't appear to bother the audience, who screamed the word "p***y" along with Citi Zēni.
But viewers were left "devastated", after Latvia failed to join Ukraine, Switzerland, Armenia, Iceland, Lithuania, Portugal, Norway, Greece, Moldova and the Netherlands in qualifying for the final.

"I'm so sorry my salad bois you deserved so much better."
Following their elimination, Citi Zēni took to Instagram and wrote: "The greatest team. Thank you. This isn't the last you've heard of us."
