A DC Comics superhero bottomed for a mutant shark and it's officially been declared as canon

Justice League Dark: Apokolips War revealed that hero John Constantine bottomed for King Shark. Yes, really.

He was a bisexual crumpled suit-wearing detective who happens to be a warlock, he was a humanoid shark, can we make it anymore obvious?

No, really. In  Justice League Dark: Apokolips War , which dropped Tuesday (May 5), it's revealed that John Constantine and King Shark used to date. And Constantine was the bottom and King Shark the top.

And one of the show's writers confirmed on Twitter that it's 100 per cent canon.

DC Comics anti-hero John Constantine used to date King Shark.

In a scene from Justice League Dark: Apokolips War, Constantine and Raven are seen in an underground fight club where Constantine is paralysed with fear and embarrassment, noting that his ex is just facing them.

Raven look to see Harley Quinn staring at them both, prompting Raven to snidely go: "You and Harley? Gross."

"Do I look mad?" an incredulous Constantine says, as the cartoon cuts to King Shark standing beside Harley. He then smirks, showing his zig-zagged teeth, before suggestively winking.

The snippet of the film went viral on Twitter, quickly tallying more than 1.1million views,

Animation writer and showrunner Mairghread Scott confirmed it all, even herself admitting : "I can't believe they let me write this."

Justice League Dark: Apokolips War writer makes bottoming canon.

Constantine is voiced by Matt Ryan in the animated film, reprising his role as the occult detective from Liverpool, England, from DC's Legends of Tomorrow.
Both adaptations don't erase his sexuality like some have in the past, instead, showing a depiction of bisexuality that is expansive, wide-ranging and truly does not care what people think.

Scott added in a follow-up tweet that she was "very proud" of the scene, but noted that the fan reaction surprised her.

"I was expecting to hear from Twitter folks thirsty for tortured, sad, bearded Superman," she said .

"But I truly underestimated thirsty monster-f***er Twitter."

Never underestimate thirsty monster-f***er Twitter. Never.

Indeed, the fan reaction to a chain-smoking warlock getting it on with a mutant shark was everything you'd expect it to be.

Apparently, the concept of a warlock bottoming for a shark didn't immediately click. Thankfully, people were there to kindly clarify what the scene was alluding to.
