Ellen Page has married Emma Portner, and the pictures are incredible

Ellen Page has married her long-term partner - and they look ridiculously happy.

The 30-year-old Inception actress tied the knot with dance instructor Emma Portner over the New Year.

Portner, who teaches contemporary jazz at New York's Broadway Dance Centre and has choreographed dances for Justin Bieber, broke the news online at the same time as her new wife.

Alongside heartwarming Instagram posts of the pair and their new wedding rings, Portner wrote: "I get to call this incredible woman MY WIFE!"

She added, adorably: "@ellenpage I LOVE YOU!"

In her caption, Page said: "Can’t believe I get to call this extraordinary woman my wife. @emmaportner".

The two have been posting pictures on social media of themselves together since the spring, and have now put a ring on it.

Earlier this week, Page joined a legion of other celebrities in groundbreaking campaign Time’s Up , which aims to end sexual harassment in Hollywood and beyond.

More than 300 entertainment figures have joined the initiative, which has a $13m legal defence fund to help those in less privileged positions combat harassment in the workplace.

Page joined the campaign after accusing X-Men director Brett Ratner of sexually harassing her when she was 18.

Ratner, who has been accused of rape by former employee Melanie Kohler, allegedly told a woman standing next to Page: "You should f*** her to make her realise she’s gay."

Page said she had also been sexually harassed by a director when she was 16, and “sexually assaulted by a grip months later”.

The Juno actress came out in 2014, in an incredible, emotional speech to GLAAD , but her allegations dated from the mid-2000s, when she was 18 and still struggling with her sexuality.

Fans were ecstatic at the news that she has found a wife in Portner.

One happy Twitter user said: "its only the third day of 2018 and ellen page has saved the entire LGBT community by announcing that she married her girlfriend!!!"

They added that "tears are streaming down my face!!! if this ain't the biggest sign that 2018 is a LESBIAN i dont know what is".
