New York City Pride has started with thousands taking to the streets for the annual festivities.
Much of the parade and banners held by revellers included tributes to the victims of the Orlando Pulse mass shooting.
An increased NYPD police presence was felt as the parade kicked off in the wake of the attack which left 49 dead and injured 53.
